Proteinase K solution

• Endopeptidase of vegetable origin (Tritirachium album) of the serine protease family
• Cuts peptide bonds preferably at the carboxyl group of a hydrophobic side-chain amino acid (e. g. leucine)
• Used in nucleic acid preparations to remove protein contaminants or inactivate DNases and RNases
• Contains glycerol : 40 % (vol/vol)
• Available in 1, 5 and 10 ml sizes
• Also available in lyophilized version
